About the Role
The Driver, Trainee Component position is designed to help you take your CDL-A career further. In this role, you will learn the essential functions of a Driver, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. As part of the developmental process, you will gain exposure to warehouse and other operational functions while riding and training with a Driver Trainer. You will observe and practice commercial driving regulations, vehicle maneuvering, and customer service protocols to become a fully qualified McLane Driver.

- check_circleOperate truck safely in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- check_circleInspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports
- check_circleAssist Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product into customer premises
- check_circleRide and train with Driver Trainer to learn commercial driving regulations and vehicle handling
- check_circleOperate Driver Delivery Handheld to document receipts, temperatures, and exceptions
- check_circleMaintain driver logs according to DOT regulations and document delivery details
- check_circleProvide customer service including on-time delivery, product returns, and issuing credits
Requirements
