About the Role
Road Warrior Staffing is seeking experienced CDL A drivers to haul intermodal container freight safely and efficiently. Based in Savannah, GA, this role offers the opportunity to run freight from the Port of Georgia locally and across the Southeast region. Drivers will maintain communication with dispatch and customers while ensuring the safe operation of equipment and full compliance with DOT regulations.
Route Flexibility & Work Model
We offer a variety of route options to suit your lifestyle, including local, regional, and Over-The-Road (OTR) opportunities. Local routes provide daily home time, while regional routes typically offer weekends off and often 1-2 nights at home during the week. OTR opportunities are also available for those seeking longer hauls.
Drivers enjoy significant autonomy with no forced dispatch and the ability to choose their preferred routes. The freight is no-touch, and owner operators are welcome to apply alongside company drivers.
Compensation & Benefits
Drivers can expect consistent intermodal freight opportunities with a percentage-based pay structure. Average weekly earnings range from $2,000 to $2,500, with an average of around $2.00 per mile. Compensation is processed weekly.
Hiring Process & Requirements
To apply, candidates must possess a valid Class A CDL with a minimum of 18 months of driving experience and a current TWIC Card. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Safety-sensitive positions are subject to DOT-compliant testing as required by federal regulations.
