About the Role
Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers! The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform pre/post trip safety inspections of vehicle and trailer per DOT regulations
- check_circleUnload products from trailer and transport items to designated customer storage areas
- check_circleDrive tractor trailer or straight truck to deliver food products safely and timely
- check_circleCollect cash or checks where required and load customer returns onto trailer
- check_circleVerify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- check_circleMaintain accurate and legible paperwork associated with freight and deliveries
- check_circleComplete count checks of items and verify customer invoices for accuracy
- check_circleComplete daily records of hours of service and enter data in log per DOT requirements
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma/GED
- verified6+ months commercial driving experience
- verifiedValid CDL-A
- verifiedMust be 21+ years of age
- verifiedClean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- verifiedPass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- verifiedPass road test
- verifiedValid current DOT Health Card
