As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will be the face of US Foods, ensuring our customers receive their products safely and on time. You will drive trucks to customers, carefully unload products using equipment such as a two-wheeler or pallet jack, and verify delivery accuracy with proper signatures. This role involves handling collections when applicable and performing professional customer service to enhance the client experience. You will also conduct all necessary pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to maintain our strong safety culture.
This position offers a schedule of Tuesday through Saturday with dispatch times between 3 AM and 5 AM, providing a 5-day work week with two consecutive days off. Drivers are home daily and can expect weekly pay. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively and to work comfortably in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops.
To apply, candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid CDL Class A issued by their state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months in the food and/or beverage delivery industry is required. Candidates must also register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a secure online database required by the Department of Transportation for tracking drug and alcohol program violations. Registration can be completed at clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov.
