About the Role
As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks equipped with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and inward/outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. Your primary mission is to deliver palletized groceries to local stores without the need for pallet breakdowns. This role offers a unique opportunity to represent major brands, often driving their branded trucks and wearing their uniforms.
You will work a schedule from Thursday through Monday, with start times between 8 PM and 9 PM. A key highlight of this position is the opportunity to be home daily. For those looking to expand their hours, an additional $200 incentive is available for working a sixth day. With locations across the nation, this role also offers the potential to move to a new city as your career grows, supported by tons of training opportunities.
Hiring Process
To join Penske, candidates must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, which includes a review of past employment, education, and criminal history, as well as a drug screening. The role is regulated by the Department of Transportation and designated as safety-sensitive; therefore, the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. All associates must be able to accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
