About the Role
Walmart is seeking Cashiers and welcoming Cashiers and Front End Associates to join the team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of the store by assisting customers with their purchases and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. You will serve as the face of Walmart, providing friendly customer service while operating registers and supporting front-end store operations.
Day in the Life
As a Cashier or Front End Associate, your day will involve a variety of tasks designed to keep the front end running efficiently. You will be responsible for scanning items quickly and accurately, processing both cash and card payments. The role also involves handling returns and exchanges, bagging items for customers, as well as maintaining a clean and organized checkout area to-the-point organized checkout area.
You may also assist customers with self-checkout stations, verify prices, and monitor self-checkout lanes to ensure transactions are completed successfully. Additionally, you will help customers with Walmart Pay or credit card transactions and credit card transactions, answer questions, and provide general customer service throughout the front-end area. Throughout the day, you will interact with a diverse range of customers, helping them with their purchases and ensuring they need.
