Cashier/Front End Associate

About the Role

Walmart is seeking Cashiers and welcoming Cashiers and Front End Associates to join the team. In this role, you will be the face of the store, assisting customers with purchases and supporting overall front-end store operations. Your primary focus will be on delivering friendly customer service while ensuring the checkout area remains clean, organized, and efficient.

Day in the Life

As a Cashier or Front End Associate, your day involves a variety of tasks designed to keep the front end running smoothly. You will be responsible for scanning items quickly and accurately, processing both cash and card payments. Beyond the register, you will assist customers with questions, handle returns and exchanges, and bag items for purchase.

You may also assist with self-checkout stations, verify prices, and monitor self-checkout lanes, helping customers navigate Walmart Pay or credit card transactions, and provide general customer service throughout the front-end area. Maintaining a clean and organized checkout area is essential to the role. You will follow Walmart customer service policies, cash handling procedures, and front-end operational guidelines to ensure a seamless experience for every shopper.

Growth and Benefits

Walmart offers competitive pay ranging from $14 to $19 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, holiday pay, and shift differential pay for overnight shifts. Depending on your location and experience, there are also opportunities for performance-based raises.
