About the Role
Walmart is seeking Cashiers and welcoming Cashiers and Front End Associates to join the team. This role is essential to the daily operations of the store, focusing on providing friendly customer service and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for every visitor.
Day in the Life
As a Cashier or Front End Associate, you will be the face of Walmart for many customers. Your primary focus will be assisting customers with their purchases, which includes scanning items quickly and accurately, processing both cash and card payments. You will also handle returns and exchanges, bag items that require attention and care.
Beyond the register, you will play a key role in maintaining the front-end area. This involves keeping the checkout area clean and organized. You will assist customers with questions, help them with Walmart Pay or credit card transactions, and monitor self-checkout lanes, and verify prices. Your goal is to provide general customer service throughout the front-end area, ensuring that every interaction is positive and efficient.
