About the Role
Walmart is seeking Cashiers and welcoming Cashiers and Front End Associates to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the customer experience by assisting shoppers with their purchases and supporting overall front-end store operations. Your primary focus will be on providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service to every customer who walks through our doors.
Day in the Life
As a Cashier or Front End Associate, your day will involve a variety of tasks designed to keep the checkout area running smoothly. You will be responsible for scanning items quickly and accurately, processing both cash and card payments with precision. Beyond the register, you will assist customers with questions, handle returns and exchanges, and help bag items for customers.
You will also support self-checkout stations by monitoring lanes, verifying prices, and helping customers navigate Walmart Pay or credit card transactions. Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area is a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the front-end environment reflects Walmart's commitment to quality and service. You will follow established customer service policies, cash handling procedures, and front-end operational guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance.
