Role Overview
Family Dollar is currently seeking dedicated Cashiers to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting customers, operating cash registers, and supporting the daily operations of the store. Your primary focus will be on delivering excellent customer service while maintaining an organized and efficient checkout area.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cashier at Family Dollar, your day-to-day duties include:
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, answer product-related questions, and provide general assistance to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Transaction Processing: Operate cash registers to scan merchandise and process payments via cash and card methods accurately.
- Returns and Exchanges: Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized checkout area. Assist with general store cleanliness and organization as needed.
- Merchandise Support: Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with unloading deliveries when required.
- Compliance: Strictly follow all company cash handling procedures and customer service policies.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay and Incentives
- Hourly Wage: The typical pay range for this position is $12 to $15 per hour.
- Additional Pay: Opportunities for overtime pay and holiday pay are available.
- Raises: Performance-based raises may be offered depending on location and experience.
