About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you play a vital role in supporting members with the everyday tasks and companionship that make life easier and more enjoyable. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to help others, regardless of prior healthcare experience. You will serve as a friendly and reliable partner, assisting members with a variety of personal and household needs while building meaningful connections.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day activities will vary based on the unique needs of each member. You might assist with running errands, such as picking up groceries or medications, or provide transportation to appointments like the doctor's office or the bank. Beyond logistical support, you will engage in companionship activities that bring joy and connection, such as having conversations, watching movies, playing board games, or going for walks.
You may also help members stay connected with technology by teaching them how to use video calls, download apps, or send emails. Additionally, you might assist with light household tasks, including laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and organization. For members with pets, you may even assist in walking them or filling their food and water bowls.
