As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you play a vital role in supporting the independence and well-being of our members. This position is designed for individuals who enjoy helping others and are looking for flexible work opportunities. No prior healthcare experience is required, making this an accessible entry point into the caregiving field.
Day in the Life
Your day as a Papa Pal involves a variety of supportive tasks tailored to the unique needs of each member. You might assist with daily errands, such as picking up groceries or medications, or provide transportation to appointments at the doctor's office or bank. Beyond logistical support, you can help members stay connected by teaching them how to use video calls, download apps, or send emails.
The role also emphasizes companionship and household assistance. You may engage in meaningful conversations, watch movies, play board games, or go for walks with members. Additionally, you might help with light household tasks like laundry, meal preparation, and organization, or even assist with pet care by walking pets or filling food and water bowls.
