About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you playmate, you will provide companionship and support to members in their homes. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy connecting with others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. You will serve as a friendly face, offering assistance with daily tasks and engaging in activities that bring joy and ease to the member's life.
Day in the Life
Your day as a Papa Pal involves a mix of practical assistance and social engagement. You might start by helping a member pick up groceries or medications, or running other errands that make life a little easier. You may also provide transportation to medical appointments, the bank, or other essential destinations.
Beyond logistics, you will assist with pet care, such as walking dogs or filling food and water bowls. You might help members navigate technology, such as downloading apps, setting up video calls, or sending emails. Your responsibilities also include light household tasks like laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and organization.
A significant part of the role is companionship. You will engage in meaningful conversations, watch movies together, play board games, or go for walks. The goal is to create a supportive and enjoyable environment that enhances the member's quality of life.
