About the Role
As a Papa Pal Care Companion, you play a vital role in supporting members with the everyday tasks and companionship that make life easier and more enjoyable. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to help others, regardless of prior healthcare experience. You will serve as a friendly and reliable partner, assisting members with a variety of daily activities and providing meaningful social interaction.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on the unique needs of each member. You might assist with running errands, such as picking up groceries or medications, or provide transportation to appointments like the doctor's office or the bank. You may also help with light household tasks, including laundry, meal preparation, and light cleaning, or assist with organizing spaces.
Beyond practical support, you will engage in social and recreational activities to keep members connected and active. This could involve helping members navigate technology, such as downloading apps, setting up video calls, or sending emails. You might also spend time walking pets, filling food and water bowls, having conversations, watching movies, playing board games, or going for walks together.
