Dignity Health Medical Group - Sierra Nevada is part of CommonSpirit®, one of the nation's largest health systems dedicated to advancing health for all people. We are a physician-led, professionally managed practice where teamwork rules the day and hearts are big. Our group is supported by highly trained, competent, and caring staff, offering strong physician support and mentorship.
We serve patients in the picturesque community of Grass Valley, CA, at our outpatient clinic and at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. As an affiliate of the nationally recognized Dignity Health system, we ensure the highest standard of health care for our patients and have access to important regional resources, including the Dignity Health Heart & Vascular Institute.
We are seeking a Board Certified (or board-eligible) General Cardiologist to provide non- or limited-invasive, non-interventional general cardiology care for adult patients. In this role, you will provide general cardiology care 3-4 days per week in our outpatient cardiology clinic, round on inpatients, and consult with the ED and Hospitalists. You will also oversee the hospital's cardiology lab and perform TEEs.
This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with the hospital's impressive Cardiac Rehab program and enjoy a strong referral base from within our community's providers. A key highlight of this role is the work-life balance: there is no required night coverage or call, and you will not have outpatient clinic duties on hospital call days. You will work in a community where healthcare providers are appreciated every day for their heroic work.
Grass Valley is a charming historic town with a population of nearly 13,000, offering a small-town feel while remaining just a short drive from major metropolitan areas like Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, and Reno. The area features a year-round climate with moderate weather, warm summers, and short winters, providing outstanding recreational opportunities including fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking, biking, skiing, and golfing.
While we love living and working in our beautiful mountain town, we recognize that small-town life is not for everyone. Residents can choose to live in Nevada County or in the greater Sacramento area. Auburn is 35 minutes away, while Rocklin and Roseville are about 45 minutes from Grass Valley. This flexibility allows you to avoid traffic by living in Grass Valley or by living near Roseville and driving the opposite direction of most traffic.
Dignity Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
