About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssess, prepare, and educate patients before cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- check_circleAssist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures while maintaining a sterile field
- check_circleAdminister medications including anticoagulants, contrast agents, and moderate sedation following safety protocols
- check_circleRecognize and respond to cardiac and hemodynamic emergencies following ACLS guidelines and unit protocols
- check_circleOperate, calibrate, and troubleshoot cath lab and monitoring equipment ensuring proper radiation safety
- check_circleDocument assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians, technologists, and care team members to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes
- check_circleParticipate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
- check_circleAdapt to new facilities and workflows as a travel nurse while maintaining professionalism and flexibility
- check_circleMonitor patients' cardiac rhythm, hemodynamics, and overall status before, during, and after procedures
- check_circleManage vascular access sites including sheath management, hemostasis, and post-procedure circulation checks
- check_circleProvide post-procedure recovery care, discharge teaching, and follow-up instructions to patients and families
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- verifiedPrevious experience in an acute care hospital setting
Nice to Have
Certified Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or similar cath lab certification
