The Business Development Specialist will lead QED's service division for QED Optics, driving revenue growth and cultivating long-term customer partnerships. This role is pivotal in positioning QED as a trusted supplier to major defense primes, aerospace contractors, and government-funded programs. Leveraging deep industry experience, the successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, navigate complex sales cycles, and ensure strategic alignment with QED's precision manufacturing and optical processing capabilities.
The position requires a unique blend of commercial acumen and technical expertise. You will serve as the bridge between customer requirements and QED's engineering capabilities, translating complex needs into actionable sales opportunities. From mentoring the commercial sales team to representing the company at industry conferences and defense-focused events, this role demands a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset capable of working independently while collaborating closely with engineering and marketing teams.
