About the Role
We are hiring a qualified Structural/Bridge Engineer to provide staff augmentation services for a project within WMATA's Department of Track & Structures Maintenance (TRST). The selected candidate will support in-house engineering efforts, including bridge load rating analyses for 82 bridges and the design of Structural Package B, which includes 23 bridges. Additional responsibilities include the rehabilitation of parking garages and aerial structures, and engineering support for various WMATA offices such as Plant Maintenance (PLNT), Elevators and Escalators Services (ELES), and Metro Parking Operations.
The engineer will work primarily from a home office and perform structural design, drawing and specification reviews, CAD work, bridge inspections, tunnel/station inspections, and peer reviews of inspection reports. The candidate will act as the Structural Engineer of Record and must be professionally registered in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia.

Requirements
