This is a full-time, career Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) position designed for individuals who love protecting their community and are looking for a change of scenery. Whether your background is in military police or state and local law enforcement, you will have the chance to apply your skills in a dynamic environment. The role involves detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws, preventing and apprehending smugglers, and interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry. Agents patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using a variety of assets, including vehicles, horses, vessels, and off-road equipment, often conducting covert surveillance and night operations.

Duty assignments are determined at the time of offer based on operational needs and may include prioritized locations along the Southwest Border. While candidates can select preferred locations from a list of mission-critical sectors, assignments may not always align with first-choice preferences, and relocation may be required.
