About the Role
As a Behavioral Specialist, you will provide invaluable support to individuals in residential, vocational, or in-home settings. This role is designed for those who bring clinical and interpersonal skills to a team that values meaningful, hands-on work where no two days are ever the same.
You will partner with an interdisciplinary team to ensure support plans and services adhere to Individual Plans, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Your day will involve conducting structured assessment interviews, observing individuals in their home, school, or community settings, and reviewing social history to target appropriate behavior baselines. You will write and submit assessment summaries and recommended behavior support plan components, presenting this information to review committees to advocate for the rights of those you serve.
Beyond clinical duties, you will support and train staff in implementing Individual Support Plans, assist with activities of daily living, and ensure the safety and well-being of individuals through health monitoring, medication administration (if assigned), and emergency response. You will also maintain professional relationships with families, guardians, and case managers while upholding the company's Customer Service Standards.
