The Banquet Manager serves as a pivotal leadership figure, ensuring the seamless execution of all events and banquet functions. This role is dedicated to maintaining the highest service standards while supervising Banquet associates to guarantee exceptional guest satisfaction. The position embodies the company's mission and values, focusing on training staff to deliver prompt, courteous service that aligns with established policies and procedures.
Day in the Life
Your day involves a dynamic blend of strategic planning and hands-on leadership. You will conduct daily pre-shift meetings to align the team on important updates and service expectations. Throughout the event lifecycle, you will oversee setup and breakdown, managing everything from linens and silverware to audio/visual elements in close cooperation with contractors.
Collaboration is key; you will work closely with Culinary Management to ensure food execution is timely and exceptional, and coordinate with the Sales and Catering departments to manage event specifications and future workload. A significant portion of your time is spent on the floor, superverving servers, greeting guests, and ensuring their preferences are met promptly. You will also handle administrative duties, including scheduling, payroll accuracy, and reporting, while maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly environment across all storage and event areas.
