Carrington Mortgage Services is part of The Carrington Companies, providing integrated, full-lifecycle mortgage loan servicing assistance to borrowers and investors. Our mission is to deliver exceptional customer care and programs that support borrowers and their homeownership experience as we transform residential real estate. We are a growing team of uniquely talented professionals dedicated to making a difference in the housing market.
The Bankruptcy Team Lead serves as a critical guardian of the lien-holder's interests within the residential mortgage bankruptcy process. This role is designed to minimize potential losses while ensuring strict adherence to investor timelines, company policies, and all applicable US state and federal laws. You will not only monitor the workflow and performance of your assigned team but also act as the department's primary subject matter expert and trainer.
In this position, you will navigate complex bankruptcy scenarios, handling escalated inquiries from borrowers and attorneys while providing management with strategic solutions to disputes and agreements. Your day-to-day involves identifying process gaps, implementing continuous improvements, and ensuring the accuracy of critical filings such as Motions for Relief, Proof of Claims, and Reaffirmations. As a leader, you will foster a culture of quality by conducting formal and informal training sessions, updating policies, and serving as the final authority on document signing and complex manual calculations.
