Role Overview

Maritz Automotive Solutions is a premier consulting firm dedicated to enhancing dealership success across all operations, from showrooms to service bays. We are seeking a results-driven Automotive Digital Retail Implementation Manager to join our dynamic team. This role serves as the primary liaison for dealerships utilizing an OEM Digital Retailing system.

Location and Travel Requirements

This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in the Sacramento, CA area. The role requires significant travel, with up to 70% of time spent on the road.

Key Responsibilities

As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the OEM program, dealership operations, and automotive retail best practices, you will drive strong engagement and utilization of digital retailing tools. Your core duties include:

  • Implementation Leadership: Lead and facilitate user training and provide ongoing support throughout all phases of the implementation lifecycle.
  • Performance Management: Ensure key dealership personnel adhere to required turnaround times for critical implementation milestones.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential implementation risks and develop effective strategies to mitigate them.
  • Relationship Building: Establish strong partnerships with dealership teams through in-person and virtual consultations, coaching, and training sessions.
  • Presentation and Demonstration: Deliver clear, engaging presentations and product demonstrations using established materials.
  • Strategic Consulting: Work with assigned dealerships to create actionable plans that align with their specific processes and operational needs.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Build productive relationships with integrated vendor partners to support overall program success.
  • Issue Management: Document, communicate, and escalate issues or concerns as necessary.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor performance metrics regularly, leveraging data and analytics to assess progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in scheduled performance reviews and strategic planning sessions with Maritz managers to exchange insights, refine best practices, and resolve challenges.
  • Time Management: Prioritize high-impact activities effectively, maintaining alignment with established goals.
  • Expense Management: Manage travel and program-related expenses in strict accordance with Maritz guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in dealership consulting or automotive retail operations. The ideal applicant will possess:

  • Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the retail automotive industry, including common terminology, dealership structures, and workflow processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience working with dealership and automotive retail software platforms, including Dealer Management Systems (DMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, and digital retailing solutions.
  • Process Expertise: Knowledge of dealership desking or Finance and Insurance (F&I) processes.
  • Adaptability: A quick learner capable of staying current with rapidly evolving digital solutions.
  • Resilience: A proven ability to maintain a positive, solutions-oriented attitude in high-pressure environments.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations, lead productive discussions, and address objections with resilience.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within the Maritz team, as well as with clients and vendor partners.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
