By joining Sedgwick, you'll be part of something truly meaningful. It’s what our 33,000 colleagues do every day for people around the world who are facing the unexpected. We invite you to grow your career with us, experience our caring culture, and enjoy work-life balance. Here, there is no limit to what you can achieve.

Sedgwick is recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces by Newsweek, a Great Place to Work Certified company, and listed among Fortune Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance.

About the Role

As an Auto Appraiser for Catastrophic Loss, your primary purpose is to inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss. You will appraise and determine costs of repairs to damaged vehicles in the field, deciding between repair versus replace and determining parts utilization. Using industry-standard estimatics software, you will evaluate whether a vehicle is repairable or salvageable and prepare estimates accordingly.

This role involves traveling to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field and working directly with auto repair facilities to determine supplemental repair processing and provide supplemental estimates. You will manage daily appraisal volume within your assigned home territory, demonstrating strong time management, autonomy, and adherence to productivity and quality standards.

Catastrophe Deployment Expectations

Prior catastrophe (CAT) appraisal experience is a strong plus for this position. The role may require deployment in support of CAT operations, particularly during peak summer months. Deployments can involve extensive travel, extended work hours, and temporary relocation based on business needs. During non-CAT periods, colleagues are expected to consistently manage daily appraisal volume within their assigned home territory.

Our Culture and Commitment to Diversity

Sedgwick is building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace and recognizes that each person possesses a unique combination of skills, knowledge, and experience. If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, consider applying for it anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

Sedgwick is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace. When applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.
