About Ceres
Ceres is a nonprofit advocacy organization working to accelerate the transition to a cleaner, more just and resilient world.
At Ceres, we value integrity, equity, belonging, compassion, and respect. We demonstrate those values through how we communicate and collaborate with our colleagues and external partners; and embody them in our decision making and advocacy efforts to create a more just and sustainable future.
About the Investor Network Team
The Investor Network team works with institutional investors to address climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and water scarcity and pollution. Through a range of initiatives and working groups, the team supports investors that are members of the Ceres Investor Network in engaging with companies, regulators and policy makers to accelerate the transition to a cleaner, more just and resilient world.
About the Role
The Associate will support Ceres’ work with institutional investors on their stewardship priorities, and track and monitor progress of Ceres Investment Stewardship Working Group (ISWG). This team is focused on coordinating and supporting investors seeking to improve investee company practices on climate change risks, impacts, science‑based emissions reduction targets, transition plans, climate‑related governance, and related sustainability issues. Many of the investors are members of the Ceres Investor Network, including state treasurers, pension funds, foundations, socially responsible asset managers, and faith‑based institutional investors.
At Ceres, the ISWG team, and shareholder engagement work in general, is done through close partnership with Ceres Program teams.
We seek a highly motivated, self‑starter to play a critical programmatic and administrative support role, both internally and externally in support of Ceres’ strategy for accelerating sustainability leadership.
