As a Field Installation Technician, you will be the hands-on expert ensuring the successful deployment of critical surgical infrastructure. This role is dedicated to the on-site physical installation, functional testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems, and ancillary equipment like room cameras and monitors. You will serve as the vital link between Stryker's internal project teams and external partners, including electricians, general contractors, and perioperative hospital staff, ensuring every installation meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Your work is defined by precision and adaptability. You will interpret complex wire diagrams and CAD drawings to install equipment in accordance with state, industry, and international standards. A typical day involves confirming site readiness, managing inventory, and executing detailed installation tasks that require climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and operating specialized tools. Beyond the technical installation, you will program and test video integration sources, document all activities with meticulous accuracy, and provide clear operational training to hospital staff. You will also manage your own travel logistics, ensuring timely arrival at job sites while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and delivering outstanding customer service.
This position is fully field-based and requires 100% overnight travel, Monday through Friday. You will be stationed at various hospital and medical facility locations across the United States. Stryker covers all travel, lodging, and meal expenses in accordance with the Corporate Travel Policy, allowing you to focus entirely on delivering exceptional service in the field.

We foster a culture where safety is paramount; you will be trained to adhere to all safety policies, utilize proper PPE, and advocate for safe work practices. We value diversity and inclusion, and as an equal opportunity employer, we consider qualified applicants without regard to race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
Qualified candidates with a background in technical installation, electrical/construction, or medical device fields are encouraged to apply.
