Role Overview
The Associate Director of Project Management serves as a strategic and operational leader, guiding critical cross-functional initiatives within the organization. Reporting directly to the Director or Vice President of Project Management, this role is responsible for leading a team of project managers, ensuring the successful delivery of enterprise-level programs, and optimizing project execution across both technical and business units.
This high-impact position demands exceptional leadership capabilities, advanced stakeholder management skills, and expertise in process design. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where adaptability and strategic thinking are essential.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $135,000 – $150,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project and program managers focused on initiatives spanning technology, partnerships, and customer operations.
- Project Oversight: Manage the planning, tracking, and execution of complex projects, including product deployments, system integrations, platform enhancements, and partner onboarding processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, partnerships, and support teams to ensure project execution aligns with broader business objectives.
- Process Optimization: Build and refine project governance frameworks, tools, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency and accountability.
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a thought partner to senior leadership regarding project prioritization, risk mitigation strategies, and capacity planning.
- Reporting & Visibility: Ensure consistent reporting structures that provide clear visibility into project status, blockers, and resource allocation.
- Methodology Standardization: Help standardize and scale project management methodologies across teams, utilizing Agile, hybrid, or Waterfall approaches as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7–10 years of experience in project or program management roles, with at least 2 years of experience managing project teams.
- Industry Background: Strong background in SaaS, restaurant technology, or a comparable fast-moving industry.
- Project Complexity: Proven experience managing large, cross-functional projects or programs involving technical and operational complexity.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with common project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or Smartsheet.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both executive and technical audiences.
- Certifications: PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant, food technology, or hospitality systems, such as POS platforms or delivery APIs.
- Exposure to working with enterprise restaurant groups or managing large-scale implementation projects.
- A proven track record of improving team performance, increasing delivery speed, and enhancing cross-functional coordination.
