The Department of Health & Kinesiology at the University of Utah serves approximately 1,500 students across bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. We are seeking a 0.75 FTE Career-Line (non-tenure) faculty member to join our team as an Assistant or Associate Professor (Lecturer) with expertise in Sports Science and Human Performance. This is a long-term, renewable position within the University's Career-Line faculty structure, offering the potential for multi-year contracts.
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, program development, and community engagement in a dynamic and growing academic environment. You will teach courses in areas such as biomechanics, wearable devices, motor control, exercise physiology, and other movement sciences. Beyond the classroom, you will play a significant role in developing emerging undergraduate and graduate programs in Sport and Performance Science, including curriculum development and overseeing experiential learning opportunities.
A key component of this role involves collaborating with community and industry partners—including Utah Athletics, professional sport organizations, Olympic national governing bodies, and industry leaders—to align curriculum, applied learning, and research initiatives in biomechanics and human performance.
