We seek outstanding applicants for a faculty position focused on skin immunology. This role is designed for a candidate with a research focus in inflammation, inflammatory dermatoses, immuno-oncology, immune checkpoint biology, and novel therapeutics development. The successful candidate will lead an independent, externally funded, and sustainable scholarly research program while contributing to the department's mission of advancing medicine.
The position is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. The effort split is 80% research and 20% clinical. In the research setting, you will oversee the development and completion of research projects, write new grant proposals to secure independent funding, and prepare manuscripts for publication. The clinical component involves seeing Dermatology patients in an outpatient setting, with some of that time dedicated to teaching residents and medical students. You will also participate in Department of Dermatology faculty and research activities and teach medical students and residents.
