As an Armored Driver Guard, you will serve as a vital member of a team dedicated to the safe and secure pickup and delivery of cash, coin, and valuables. Your work ensures the integrity of financial transactions for customers across designated routes. You will operate automatic armored vehicles and other transport units, servicing ATMs, Smart Safes, and customer stops to deliver change orders and collect deposits.
The role involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm of loading and unloading cargo, including multiple bags and boxes of coins, followed by precise counting, recording, and signing for all items. Approximately 90-95% of your work is performed within the safety and comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle, divided into individual front and rear compartments.
To ensure safety and capability, all candidates for the Armed Driver Guard position must successfully complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE). This assessment tests physical readiness in areas such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, hand strength, and climbing.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid 3-year driving record. A valid firearms permit and/or the ability to pass all applicable firearms and state-regulated security guard card/license requirements are mandatory. Loomis covers the costs for all necessary security and firearms qualifications, licensing, and permitting. Additionally, candidates must obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate via a US Department of Transportation approved medical examiner.
Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, increasing to $26.45 per hour after four months. The position offers a part-time schedule, typically averaging 20 to 30 hours per week, with shifts available Monday through Saturday between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
