Role Summary

As an Applicant Call Representative, you will play a critical role in assisting claimants with the completion of their Social Security Disability applications. This position involves conducting phone interviews to gather necessary personal and medical information regarding the claimant's disability and eligibility. Calls generally last between 30 and 45 minutes. Success in this role requires a high degree of patience, empathy, and accuracy to ensure that every application is filled out completely and correctly.

Compensation and Pay Structure

The base hourly pay range for this position is $14.50 to $18.00 per hour. In addition to the base salary, there is an opportunity to earn a performance-based bonus of up to $750 per month. Please note that applicants located in non-Minnesota regions will be compensated at the rate of $14.50 per hour.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. The standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST. The role is remote; however, hiring is currently restricted to residents of the following states:

  • Minnesota
  • Georgia
  • Iowa
  • Texas
  • South Dakota
  • Kansas

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide claimants through the online application process.
  • Conduct interviews to collect detailed personal and medical information.
  • Utilize multiple software systems, including internal tools, order management platforms, and company websites, to process applications.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor characterized by empathy, compassion, and patience.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all sensitive claimant information.
  • Meet established productivity and quality assurance metrics.
  • Manage call workflows using call-management software, adhering strictly to the assigned schedule and break times.

  • Prior experience working in a call center environment.
  • A customer-service mindset with a demonstrated ability to show empathy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A patient nature with a genuine desire to assist others.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Proven ability to meet high standards for both productivity and quality.
  • Proficiency with the Windows operating system, internet navigation, and standard software applications.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset.
