Valley Anesthesia has been the exclusive anesthesia group for the HonorHealth Network since 1983, serving patients throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, and surrounding communities. We are recognized for our commitment to the highest standards of care and our team of well-respected professionals. We are currently expanding our presence at our north-central HonorHealth locations, including Deer Valley Medical Center and John C. Lincoln Medical Center.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Mid-Shift Anesthesiologist to join our team at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center. This unique role focuses on covering the Trauma Department, offering a dynamic day-in-the-life centered on acute care. You will manage sedation in the Emergency Department, perform blocks for trauma patients, and handle intubations and line placements for trauma cases. Additionally, you will provide anesthesia for patients moving directly from the Trauma unit to the Operating Room.
On average, you will transport 1-2 patients from Trauma to the OR weekly and respond to approximately 3 ED trauma calls per shift. This position is designed for daytime work only, ensuring you always have anesthesiologist partners on-site. There are no overnight call-back duties, allowing for a predictable schedule of seven 12-hour daytime shifts (7a-7p) followed by 14 days off.
