As an Ambulatory Operating Room Registered Nurse at MEDSTAR HEALTH, you will deliver patient-first perioperative care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical setting. This role is designed to ensure safe, evidence-based care through a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
You will coordinate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to manage the full perioperative continuum. From comprehensive pre-operative assessments and patient education to intra-operative circulating and scrubbing duties, your work ensures aseptic technique and patient safety. The role also includes providing Phase II post-anesthesia recovery support, monitoring patient progress, and managing symptoms or complications with compassion.
Beyond clinical duties, you will maintain accurate electronic documentation in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal standards. You will also actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and the implementation of evidence-based practices to support diverse communities within our organization.
