Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities to interdict smuggled contraband
- check_circleMonitor behavior patterns of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels engaged in illegal activities
- check_circlePerform aviation-based law enforcement to detect and prevent terrorist entry into the United States
- check_circleSupport search and rescue and humanitarian efforts during aviation missions
- check_circleCollect, refine, and analyze strategic and tactical intelligence for law enforcement operations
Requirements

- verifiedPrimary U.S. residency for at least 3 of the last 5 years
- verifiedMaximum age 40 (or 37 without waiver) for original appointment
- verifiedFAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings (Dual, Airplane, or Helicopter with instrument)
- verified1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible)
- verified250 Pilot-in-Command hours
- verified75 Instrument hours
- verified75 Night hours
- verified100 flight hours in last 12 months (waiver available)
- verifiedFAA Class 2 medical (or Class 1/Military) dated within last 12 months
- verified1 year specialized aviation experience as Pilot-in-Command or sole manipulator
