About the Role
At Regions, the Cloud DevSecOps Engineer contributes to the advancement of cloud strategy. The primary focus of this role includes developing, communicating, and implementing robust and secure cloud continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. This role works closely with stakeholders to create fully automated pipelines which support current DevSecOps best practices.
About the Team
This position is part of the broader engineering and security infrastructure team at Regions, working to enable the organization to move to the cloud using complete automation. The team collaborates with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security (InfoSec), Software Delivery, and Quality Assurance to build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments.
Work Environment
This position is currently offsite, preferably close to a Regions office within our retail branch footprint. Associates will work from their home primarily and may be expected to go on site for meetings or other events as needed.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleDesign fully autonomous pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment

- check_circleTroubleshoot production issues and ensure clear documentation and metrics
- check_circleDevelop Ansible playbooks, Terraform scripts, and immutable infrastructure
- check_circleEnsure compliance with risk management and cybersecurity practices
- check_circleDefine identity patterns for agents and workloads across their lifecycle
- check_circleBuild automated guardrails for provisioning and privilege management
- check_circleIntegrate systems via REST APIs and modern auth protocols like OAuth and OIDC
- check_circleDesign scalable authorization models for AI agents and non-human identities
- check_circleEstablish enterprise standards for non-human identity governance
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or GED and 8 years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology
- verifiedMust be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- verifiedAWS DevOps certification or Azure DevOps certification preferred
- verifiedExperience in building/deploying cloud native applications – OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- verifiedExperience observing real-time metrics in the pipeline and deployment strategies – Blue/Green, Canary Deployment
- verifiedExperience with either AWS or Azure cloud technologies
- verifiedExperience with interfacing with secrets-management solutions like Hashicorp Vault
- verifiedFamiliar with implementing chaos engineering principles in the pipeline
- verifiedFamiliar with testing tools used to facilitate automation and integration of the tools into CI/CD pipelines
- verifiedMust be comfortable developing pipelines as code using yaml specs, Ansible playbooks
- verifiedProficient in Python programming language
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Git, ServiceNow
