The MassDOT Aeronautics Division Finance Co-op supports the Aeronautics Finance Chief with a variety of fiscal and budgeting projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of aviation and state government finance. You will assist in managing the unit's fiscal needs, processing payments, and handling complex tasks such as grant and contract processing.
Your day-to-day work will involve documenting and reviewing existing and new protocols, performing audits of Based Aircraft registered across 35 airports, and managing the bi-annual reconciliation project. You will also assist in the maintenance of the Aircraft Registrations program and handle FAA reimbursement and funding requests initiated by airports and vendors. This position requires collaboration with the Finance team, participation in weekly meetings, and the ability to resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining accurate electronic and manual filing systems.
