At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling: to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
The Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team provides Electrical Systems Engineering to develop Guidance System and Flight Avionics solutions for products across the Raytheon portfolio. We develop missile Guidance and Flight Avionics Hardware, focusing on core electrical engineering technologies including RF/RADAR, Navigation/IMU/GPS, Digital, and Power. We partner with several Electrical Product Team departments that provide the detailed design of our electrical products as well as missile level systems teams.
The Advanced Effector Guidance Systems Team is searching for an Advanced Guidance Section/Avionics Tech Lead with experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL). As the Electrical Subsystems Lead, you will manage a cross-functional and cross-discipline team of engineers through product development. This role provides both technical guidance and supervision to meet project commitments, manages suppliers, and may lead efforts in proposal development.
You will guide a team through several phases of the hardware systems lifecycle, including designs, analysis, and architecting new electronic systems. Your day-to-day will involve developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans, conducting peer reviews as a subject matter expert, and presenting to peers, management, and government customers. You will also lead root-cause failure investigations and collaborate with Functional and Program higher-level management, as well as customers and suppliers.
Missile Systems has a strong culture of mentoring; it is expected that employees will be both mentors and mentees. While the work environment is primarily in an office, assignments may include labs, field work, supporting multiple programs, and some travel, including foreign travel.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted, though this may vary based on candidate flow and business necessity.
