This position serves as a highly skilled accountant responsible for preparing standard and specialized financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The role involves compiling and analyzing financial information to record entries into general ledger accounts and documenting the organization's transactions.
You will work closely with Facilities and Hospital accounting teams to accurately record construction in progress, lead quarterly project capitalization meetings, and update the Fixed Asset Module with completed projects. The position requires running and booking monthly depreciation entries, reviewing lease and subscription-based IT asset contracts, and maintaining all capital asset schedules. Additionally, you will review and approve campus journal entries, assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, and propose process changes to enhance efficiency.

To be considered for the Accountant, III level, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree (or equivalency) plus 6 years of directly related work experience, or a master's degree (or equivalency) plus 4 years of directly related work experience. An equivalency statement applies: one year of higher education can be substituted for one year of directly related work experience.
