Rotating Machinery Services (RMS Inc.) was established in 1998 with a vision to reinvent the concept of an aftermarket turbomachinery business. Our goal is to provide operators with unparalleled service based on established relationships, solid engineering, and technical expertise—all backed by responsiveness in competitive prices and lead times. RMS is a nimble organization with a collaborative culture where skilled craftspeople come to work every day with a desire to improve their craft and further the rotating machinery industry. Our commitment to quality penetrates every aspect of the organization and serves as the guiding force for all decision-making.
As a Mechanic within our team, you will perform a variety of mechanical operations on turbomachinery components and assemblies to ensure strict compliance with specifications and quality requirements. This position is critical to maintaining the integrity of pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and blowers. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of equipment repair, from initial disassembly and inspection to final assembly and documentation.
Your day will involve diagnosing and repairing rotating equipment, collecting technical inspection data, and preparing detailed service documentation. You will work closely with other crafts to provide written instructions and drawings for component manufacturing or repair. Beyond the technical work, you will maintain a safe and organized shop environment, adhere to rigorous safety policies, and assist in training junior mechanics. This role requires a team player who can manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing schedules, and act professionally under stressful situations.
Candidates selected for this position will be required to participate in a random or customer-specific drug and alcohol screening and a background check. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and the role may require additional hours, including evenings or weekends, based on project needs.
