Reporting to the Head of Origination, Trading, and Market Analytics, the role involves designing scalable processes for managing fuel supply and risk while operating in high-volatility environments. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily gas scheduling across pipelines, managing imbalance exposure and swing risk, and executing comprehensive financial hedging strategies using NYMEX futures and basis swaps, and other derivatives. The position requires close collaboration with power trading, market analytics, and origination teams to optimize spark spreads and support asset operations and ensure fuel reliability. This builder role offers the opportunity to create infrastructure from the ground up, hire and manage a new team, and drive mission-critical commercial operations. The company provides a fully flexible workplace model with remote options and mandatory team gatherings at hubs in San Francisco, New York, Denver, Austin, Calgary, and Toronto four times annually.
