For those who want to put their love of pets into action, there are few jobs more rewarding than that of a Veterinary Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of the hospital team, you will support and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and associates while maintaining the continuity of quality veterinary care.
In this role, you will advocate for pets and educate clients on all aspects of pet health, including the importance of preventive care and our Optimum Wellness Plans®. You will use your technical skills daily within state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines to help maintain the flow of patients, set up procedures, and keep treatment areas clean and organized. Beyond clinical duties, you will have the opportunity to mentor other team members and contribute to a culture of professional excellence.
You will provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, ensuring that clients and pets feel comfortable in the hospital. Your day will involve communicating closely with the veterinary team, adhering to hospital standards for safety and organization, and acting as a bridge between the medical team and pet owners.
Every associate makes an important contribution to the veterinary team. We look for Vet Assistants who are dedicated, have a positive attitude, and use our Five Principles—Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency, and Freedom—as their guide. We value associates who are action-oriented, customer-focused, good listeners, and effective communicators.
