About the Team

At Raytheon, an RTX business, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling: to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. With over 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise, our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

We are seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to join the Apertures and RF Team. This multidisciplinary hardware team is responsible for technical subcontract management, requirement analysis, trade studies, design reviews, development, testing, fielding, integration, and operational support. You will play a key role in managing RF hardware subcontracts while contributing to satellite ground terminal architecture and system performance.

About the Role

This is an onsite position located in Aurora, CO. In this role, you will lead technical subcontract management for RF hardware projects, developing resource-loaded schedules and providing briefings to program leadership and customers on status, risks, and performance. You will interface with suppliers to manage procurement activities and support the design and architecture of satellite ground terminal hardware systems.

The work involves conducting requirement analysis, trade studies, and design reviews, as well as supporting integration, testing, and hardware refresh efforts. You will ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and program requirements while traveling up to 25% as needed.

Hiring Process & Application

This position requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (TS/SCI) prior to your start date. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only citizens are eligible for this clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted, though this may vary based on candidate flow and business necessity.

Our Culture & Commitment

Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. At RTX, we value Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation. Relocation is eligible for the right candidate.

RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status, or any other applicable state or federal protected class. RTX provides affirmative action in employment for qualified individuals with a disability and protected veterans in compliance with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act.
