Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManipulate mechanical motions of radiation-emitting machines and CT scanners
- check_circleAssure radiation safety for patients and personnel
- check_circleSynthesize information to ensure accuracy of dose calculations and field placement
- check_circleEvaluate and assist in commissioning, calibration, and quality assurance of machines
- check_circleAssist in training and evaluation of student therapists
- check_circleOperate treatment machines to deliver prescribed radiation therapy doses
- check_circlePrepare and educate patients for treatments and monitor them during procedures
- check_circleMonitor patients' clinical progress and refer to staff for intervention when necessary
- check_circleGenerate e-charts using physician prescriptions and computerized treatment plans
- check_circleCommunicate with healthcare team, patients, and families regarding treatment

- verifiedAssociates degree or radiologic graduate of an AMA accredited program in Radiation Therapy Technology
