About the Role

As a Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, converter dollies, and maintenance vehicles under minimal supervision. This role is essential to keeping our fleet operational and compliant with all State and Federal trucking regulations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, standard component inspections, and repairs on fleet diesel equipment, including tractors and refrigeration units. A key part of your day involves identifying the root cause of basic failures and executing the necessary fixes. You will ensure equipment is roadworthy by inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings, and you will be required to perform road call services as needed.

Beyond mechanical work, you will manage documentation by completing and keeping work orders for all repairs and parts used daily through the online Enterprise Asset Management system. You will also install and repair onboard computers and may be tasked with training other employees.
