The incumbent researches and analyzes topics as necessary to develop complete and accurate statements, and works closely with Copyright Office senior management and subject matter experts to gather information and verify facts and policies included in written materials. The incumbent consolidates diverse submissions into a unified written product for the intended audience. The work requires a delicate balance between maintaining accuracy and, at the same time, adjusting the level of writing to the understanding of different audiences. The incumbent reports to the Deputy Director of the Office of Public Information and Education. This is a confidential position with routine and non-routine duties related to sensitive personnel and/or labor relations matters. Incumbents of this position are not members of a bargaining unit. While performing daily activities, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring proper handling and security of all Library and Copyright Office materials.
