San Marcos, TX Texas State University Student Development Specialist II Job Number: 2025136 Location: San Marcos Department: Dean of Students Recruitment Type: Open to All Job Type: Full Time Monthly Salary: $3,833.34 - $4,333.33 Job Category: Exempt Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in higher education, student affairs, social work, counseling, psychology, or related field. Minimum 2 two years of professional work experience in higher education, social work, or related field. General experience with case management involving behavior, care, or crisis intervention. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including the ability to create/prepare accurate, clear, concise, grammatically correct documents/reports for publication. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with case management in a higher education setting involving student conduct, student care, or crisis intervention. Demonstrated knowledge of student case management standards and processes in student care team coordination. Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced setting that handles urgent situations concerning student well-being. Experience analyzing data and reporting trends in writing and through data visualization. Proficiency with Maxient (case management database software), EAB's Navigate360, or similar software systems. Job Description: The CARE Center Case Manager will assist with case management for the Dean of Students Office to assist students experiencing challenges impacting their health, wellbeing, and academic success. The Case Manager will work collaboratively to help students navigate campus and community resources, and provide referrals and wraparound services as needed. The Case Manager will also provide support and resources to special populations including, but not limited to foster care alumni and student parents. Job Duties: Provide non-clinical case management according to industry standards and best practices, and assist students of concern in utilizing campus/community resources and wraparound services. Work closely with the Dean of Students team to assist in determining appropriate action to take on referred cases. Complete documentation and maintain records of student cases in the online case management system. Assist with assessing outcomes and developing strategies for improving services, programs, and communication. Provide support, resources, and programming for special student populations that include former foster care students and student parents. Assist with outreach and education with appropriate university and off-campus constituents, including marketing efforts (social media, print and web materials). Assist with the creation and analyzation of monthly, semesterly, and annual reports that represent the scope and impact of the CARE Center. Contribute to the Dean of Students Office, Division of Student Success, and perform additional duties as assigned.
