Specialist, Front End Reconciliation Location: Knoxville, TN - USA Time Type: Full Time Posted: 5 Days Ago Job Requisition ID: JR9703 Position Requirements Duties&Responsibilities: Communicate with providers regarding verification of patient and insurance demographic information. Investigate and respond to errors generated from electronic claims submissions. Assist in researching eligibility submission problems/new client submissions. Interface with other departments, external providers, or clients, as may be required, to resolve errors. Initiate verbal and written correspondence to internal and external sources to verify patient and claim information. Verify patient information using links to hospitals and web-based sites. Provide backup support in all areas of the Front-End Department. Coordinate activities with other team members to ensure timely distribution of work to outside locations. Remain knowledgeable and current on third-party requirements, and regulatory guidelines at the federal, state, and local levels. Report to work, meetings, and professional obligations on time. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars. Assist in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed. Serve as a member of the Front-End Team. Perform duties necessary to ensure the team's projects/goals are completed. Take ownership of special projects, research data, and follow through with detailed action plans. Actively participate in problem identification and resolution and coordinate resolutions between appropriate parties. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Experience/Skill Requirements: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Education/Certification Requirements: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a virtual position, but we prefer candidates to be based in one of the following locations: Melville, NY; Raleigh, NC; Syracuse, NY; Fairfax, VA; Knoxville, TN; or Sunrise, FL.
