Residential Loan Processing Support Specialist Job ID: 2024-5217 Category: Residential Mortgage Lending Type: Full-Time Workplace policy: FT Remote Overview The Residential Loan Processing Support Specialist is responsible for providing guidance to all employees. This ranges from answering "how-to" questions, providing advanced guidance on the use of loan origination systems and solving technical issues related to mortgage systems. The Loan Support Specialist creates procedures for leveraging support resources and develops self-help documentation and resources. This position is the central point of contact for Loan Officers, Relationship Managers and Loan Processors in need of assistance with lending activities and collaborates with subject matter experts from other departments to provide that assistance. Principal Duties&Responsibilities: Provides support to the loan sales team for all HELOC loan requests. Pre-underwrites the file by obtaining all necessary documents from the sales team prior to submitting to processing. Ensures the proper and timely submission of all HELOC loans to processing. Ensures appropriate follow-up on documentation exceptions. Provides client service/support to Loan Originators. Creates and maintains records for pending documentation and/or exceptions; follows-up on any documentation deficiency. Responds to phone inquiries from bank personnel on eligibility, terms and conditions for the various residential programs. Complies with bank policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and investor guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications 8-10 years experience in residential mortgage loan processing required. General knowledge of loan documentation and post-closing review. Recent Encompass and Processing Experience. Knowledge of collateral control, loan servicing requirements, compliance and secondary markets. Basic knowledge of related compliance regulations such as RESPA, Fair Lending, HMDA, etc. Basic knowledge of Bank operations, products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures. Able to manage high volume of activity and maintain production goals. Able to work in a team environment. Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook. Industry related education a plus. Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.
