Title: Electrical Graduate Engineer Summary: Graduate Electrical Engineer position will work with an experienced team of electrical, instrumentation and control system engineers and designers who emphasize projects involving Energy - Midstream, water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, standby power generator systems, area lighting, etc. General Responsibilities: Perform electrical (power) engineering related tasks under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer. Participate in project progress meetings to obtain project information from senior LJA engineers and project managers for performing engineering tasks and calculations as directed. Use templates to prepare draft memos and reports for an experienced engineer to use for re-write. Perform a variety of routine tasks, which provide familiarity with the programs, staff and operating procedures of the company. Listen and learn about establishing design criteria, methods of design development, design constraints, problem definitions, project liability considerations, worst case and future design considerations, etc. Develop skillset in performing arc flash reports under supervision of a professional engineer. Required Education/Licenses: Bachelor of Science Degree, Electrical Engineering (Power). Certified Engineer-in-Training/FE exam passed or willing to take the exam in the one year following start of this role. Required Experience: 0 - 2 years of post-graduate experience. Strong communication skills. Willing to learn and exhibits strong teamwork orientation. Physical Requirements: Sit for extended periods of time working on computer. Driving to and from various outside meetings. Organizational Relationships: This position reports to: Senior Project Manager. Titles of positions reporting directly to this position: None.
