Job Description A Group Meeting Facilitator interacts with groups that need coaching to work productively as a team to reach a common goal. The group meeting facilitator guides discussions of the topics laid out in group meetings and project/taskforce initiatives agenda, with the purpose of moving the team towards a common goal. A skilled Group Meeting Facilitator fosters collaboration and teamwork and manages conflict among team members. The ProSidian Consultant | Group Meeting Facilitator will coordinate, lead, and support all phases of team meetings to ensure progression and completion of work as well as support the Global Project Lead (GPL) and Project Team, and is accountable for the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of group meetings and/or project/taskforce initiatives. The ProSidian Group Meeting Facilitator shall serve as a consultant to clients across private companies, fortune 1,000 enterprises, and government agencies of all sizes. You direct the flow and energy throughout the program period. You observe participants' body language, listen carefully to what they say, draw out those members who are not speaking, and gently move group meetings along when a member monopolizes a conversation. The ProSidian Group Meeting Facilitator shall work with and help groups such as business teams, advisory boards, emergency action task forces, working groups, strategy planning teams, and community organizations to solve problems and improve operations through a structured approach to strategic solutions. The group meeting facilitator serves as the process manager for getting past obstacles so that the group can communicate effectively. Responsibilities Coordination/Logistics Processes: Support creation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and manage/support all aspects of meeting scheduling. Topic/Agenda Acceptance: Work with groups to clarify meeting content, objectives, and establish ground rules. Group Meeting Agendas: Work with clients and stakeholders to develop agendas that achieve stated goals and objectives. Client Conference/Program Participation: Select appropriate methods and tools that will enable participants to achieve results. Ongoing Course Adjustments: Consultative facilitation while working in close partnership with clients and stakeholders. Dynamic Process Interactions: Create environments that allow civil dialogue and input from all participants. Leadership Coaching/Support Initiatives: Ensure successful implementation of primary objectives through facilitation of cross-functional meetings. Follow-Up Deliverables: Improve contributions from meeting participants; coordinate meeting schedules; facilitate meetings. Post-Event Analysis: Prepare a complete report describing everything that went on in group meetings. Public Involvement And Communications: Foster collaboration and communication through effective maintenance of knowledge repositories. Document Retention And Knowledge Repositories: Live capture of meeting discussion/decisions in Microsoft Word or Excel. Program/Recommendations Implementation: Help participants reach decisions and accomplish goals. Group Meeting Logistics: Manage meeting logistics including venue, audiovisual, and technology-related requirements. Quality Control/Quality Assurance: Effectively facilitate/manage meetings towards achieving desired outcomes. Qualifications A Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited school and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position. Minimum of eight years' experience working with senior management. Experience in facilitation of Strategic Planning, Board Retreats, Advisory Boards, and Conferences. Project management experience is required. Ability to foster collaboration and communication, assist with the creation of agendas, and distribute meeting minutes. Ability to live capture meeting discussions in Microsoft Word or Excel. Combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Comfortable working with group dynamics while managing meetings. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build enthusiasm and influence without direct authority.
